Is it normal for hot water in spain to smell like rotten eggs?

I have been living in spain for a year now, and the water smells like sulfur BAD! is it normal here, is there any way to fix it? We rent a house so i don't know much about it, and I don't see the landlord much so I haven't talked to him about it
