House has a sulfur or rotten egg smell?

I researched this and a lot of people say that it's burst water pipes or heater problems, but the smell is only present in just one section of the house. it's upstairs on right between my room and my parents room. i smelled in both of our rooms and the smell isn't there. it's only right between the two doors. There isn't any sounds going on in the house and we cannot figure out what is causing this smell! VERY FRUSTRATING! Any suggestions or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
